The product lifecycle management or PLM refers to the data and process that is used in the manufacturing, design, engineering, sales, and service of a product across the product's entire lifecycle. Companies that manufacture goods experience a number of issues that are outside of the scope of design and manufacturing. The PLM is used to help mitigate those issues and align key resources that are meant to make key product information more accessible across teams and organizations.
